Grassroots people intimately understand their environments and create innovations that have immense potential to improve the well being of the general mass. What grassroots innovators don't have though is access to the skills, networks and other resources needed to take their innovations to the market. Most of the innovations need optimization in design and engineering by merging with modern science and technology inputs. In general following issues need to be addressed in totality or in some aspects. 

• Standardization of the material
• Optimization of design according to ergonomic comfort and aesthetics so that efficiency can be increased
• Performance evaluation of the machine/device at different conditions and modifications if required
• Exploring possibilities for pooling of best features and developing a new market sustainable product
